The Rotary Foundation launched Rotary Grants, Formerly known as the Future Vision Plan, on July 1, 2013.
Thank you for visiting the Rotarians Matter Most website. The founding Rotarians of RMM created this site to draw attention to aspects of The Rotary Foundation's new grant structure that have serious implications for clubs and individual Rotarians that wish to participate in Rotary by doing more than simply writing a check. We believe Our Foundation should view grass roots Rotarians as more than just a source of funding. While we applaud efforts to streamline and simplify TRF operations, the creation of Vocational Training Teams, and less restrictive (albeit insufficiently funded) District Grants; we have serious concerns about the phasing out of popular, worthwhile programs. These include Ambassadorial Scholarships, Matching Grants, and Group Study Exchange. We believe that the introduction of Rotary Grants (more commonly known as Future Vision) signals a reversal of roles in the relationship between Rotarians in local clubs and The Rotary Foundation.

This is a comprehensive review of practical implications that you are unlikely to obtain from traditional sources. More importantly; we invite you to consider our suggestions on how flaws in the Rotary Grants program can be addressed, and ultimately how you can assist in the effort.
